Jerry and Kathy WillsA note from Jerry & Kathy:
Because of my notoriety as a healer and teacher, and as an international traveler and explorer, many have ask three questions about these excursions into the jungle.

Am I teaching my methods while we are in the Amazon
• Am I available for private healing sessions.
• Is this safe

The answer to each question is yes, to a point...

Is it Safe?
The Amazon is a beautiful place, full of life. It is, for the most part, still wild and untamed. There are plants, insects, wildlife, and indigenous tribes here. There are still some species of plant, animal and insect that haven't been discovered or named yet. It is about as primal as it gets.

Though we will not travel into those far remote places where danger potentially lurks at every step, this is a place where you need to follow direction, and the advice of those who live here. Kathy & I have spent time here, know the hazards, and will do our best to keep you safe from harm. Still, the final responsibility lies with you.

To date, those who have followed our guidance have never had an unpleasant experience. Additionally, Kathy and I have lived in this environment for years at a time with few issues. We expect you will leave the jungle with extraordinary memories of a place still as it was at the beginning of time. The beauty here is remarkable, as are the experiences you have.

Teaching
Our reason for inviting you to the Amazon is to immerse you to the incredible beauty found here, and to expose you to ancient teachings we've been provided by various shamen that Kathy & I have studied with the past 20 years. Actually, when appropriate, the final class from The Mechanics of Consciousness is taught here. Our hope is to help you advance as a healer/ metaphysician/ spiritual warrior.
This is a perfect place to do it.

During our time together in the Amazon there is ample opportunity for group discussions about your experiences, and investigate questions you have on any subject that I, or the attending Shaman, have experience with. River

Usually later in the afternoon, or after dinner each night, we have an opportune time to gather for group discussions. It is also understood that you might need time to yourselves to rest and reflect inwardly. There is never any requirement for you to join group discussions. This is available as time, and your ability to join us, permits. Remember, this is your journey. We wait for you to ask, never imposing upon you.

What is it like at the lodge? There are few man-made noises to distract you, though occasionally the nearby village holds celebrations that can become distracting. The air is clean and pure. There are no cell phone towers or microwave emitters. There is only the earth, the plants, and the creatures who reside here. It's the perfect place to graduate into the next level of your personal journey towards understanding the divine within. If you've seen the movie "The Celestine Prophecy" you know exactly what I mean. As time and circumstances permit, Kathy & I will share what we know, as will our Master Shaman, to help you along what the shamen call "The Path of Light".

Regarding private healing sessions
Yes, I am available for private sessions ($350) as time permits. The attending shaman also offers private healing sessions as well.
His requested fee and other details about what is offered will be discussed once we arrive.

I've discovered from many years of staying here for weeks at a time that my gift works remarkably well in this environment. It is not common knowledge that most of those I have worked with here have experienced remarkable results. Being at the lodge affords me an opportunity to more casually work with you during our stay. This is a unique opportunity most of my clients never have access to. Scheduling depends on the current situation at the lodge, and my other responsibilities while we are there. It is suggested you inquire about a private session  as soon as possible.

DonaThe Ayahuasca Ceremony
If you are interested in the Ayahuasca ceremony, I have selected a master for you to work with. This is someone we have known for many years, and trust to be sincere in their work. If you are unsure or concerned I can only tell you I have taken part in this ancient ritual many times, as has Kathy and our son Bryce, who started working with shamen at the age of 14. Knowledge is more than power. It is freedom. I suggest you read "The Cosmic Serpent" by Jeremy Narby for a scientific understanding of Ayahuasca, and the potentials it provides for a deep and significant spiritual awakening.

There is no requirement, judgment or pressure to participate if you are opposed to this, or decide not to join the ceremony for any reason. This voyage into the Amazon is not only about journeying with a Shaman. The jungle is full of beauty and wonder, rain falling, and wind in the trees. Many who come here never seek out, or experience, the metaphysical aspects we offer. They simply come for the thrill of being in the Amazon Jungle... And that's quite a thrill if you have never experienced it!

1. You are responsible for your domestic tickets. Currently, Star Peru offers Flight 3217 (7am) from Lima to Iquitos. The return flight (3116) leaves Iquitos at 3:30pm. These are easily booked online at StarPeru.com. If you have any issue with this we can connect you with our office in Lima.

2. You must arrive to Lima no later than 1:00am on March 2nd.

3. Your flight from the Amazon departs Iquitos at (apx) 3:30pm (Star Peru flight 3116 currently suggested), arriving to Lima at 6:15pm. You will need at least 3 hours to move from your flight to the international check-in counter, through Immigration, security, and to your gate. Your flight from Lima to home must not leave before 11:59pm on March 9th - It must leave after midnight, which is technically March 10th!

4. You have the option of continuing your trip to other locations within Peru. If you decide to do this we are always happy to help you set this up... Just ask : )

Peru Map to Iquitos March 1st and 2nd
Day 1
: Arrive to Lima > Depart to The Amazon
The night of the first day you arrive to Lima, and wait at the airport until your connecting flight to Iquitos. As mentioned, there might be those who arrive early and want a hotel room. Either way, it's important to know you MUST be at the airport at least 2 hours ahead of your flight to Iquitos. Upon your arrival to Iquitos you are met by Kathy & I and the lodge staff. Once your things have been loaded we continue on to the center of Iquitos City for lunch at Ari's Burger, a really fun hang-out for everyone traveling through. Afterward, we continue on to the port of Bellavista where we board our boat and travel about an hour up river to the Amazon Rainforest Lodge
.

There is an alternative way to travel around Iquitos. Outside the airport you'll see "moto's". These are 3 wheeled motor-cars that carry people and supplies in the back... sort of like a rickshaw, and are a popular mode of transportation typically used by the locals. The usual fare is around 15 Sole's (apx) into the city center, and another 15 Sole's (apx) from Ari's Burger to the port. You'll likely see Kathy & I choose this mode over the bus. It's a lot more fun : )

Once we arrive to the lodge your luggage is brought up from the boat and sorted out (with your help) and rooms are assigned. After a brief relaxing time for fresh jungle fruit drinks you are shown to your rooms. Dinner is served every evening at (I think) 7pm. During this time we as a group will meet, eat, and Visit. It is during this time we also discuss the upcoming events, or any issue you feel is important. This is also be a good time to ask questions if our Shaman happens to have traveled with us to the lodge this day. This remains to be seen since I have no way to know yet.

March 3rd ~ 9th
Day 2 through Day 7

Instead of offering a day by day account of what you can expect I have decided to generalize this unique experience. Things work out differently here than we are accustomed to back home. Everything, and everyone, moves more slowly. There is a different rhythm here. I believe this is how we were meant to live, unencumbered by schedules and appointments. This is a more organic way of experiencing life. Whether you are a "Type A" personality or not, it can be annoying at times. Still, I can't imagine things here happening any differently. Once you get into this jungle rhythm  it will seem the world has finally caught up to you, and you'll find things happening as they should... when it's the right time. With that understanding, here is a brief idea of what I have planned for you.

RainforestEvenings
During any evening you have an option to take a river cruise. Life on the river after dark is much different than during the day. It seems you are drifting through an exotic dream upon a luminous black ribbon winding through trees. You are immersed in jungle sounds. It's magical... an experience you will never forget.

Overlooking the compound is the observation tower. Sitting or lying high above the earth in a hammock, high above the tree line, is another extraordinary pleasure. In the distance you might see a remote flash from the lightening of a storm passes miles away... then the distant rumble. You will certainly hear the jungle at night from here. This is one of our favorite places to relax. You'll often find Kathy or I there reclined in a hammock, swaying in the breeze with a fresh cup of coffee...

Ayahuasca
There is an alternative nighttime experience provided by our Shaman. For those interested to explore ancient rituals the Ayahuasca ceremony is offered. If you're unsure about what this is I suggest you do research via Google. For another good source of information read a book by Jeremy Narby called "The Cosmic Serpent".

Briefly, Ayahuasca has been used for thousands of years to enter the spirit world and extended consciousness. Ayahuasca is a beverage comprised of two or more plants known of, and carefully prepared by, the Shaman. At a time decided by the Shaman this dark brown fluid is offered and drank by those participating in the ceremony. Though it isn't a requirement of those studying The Mechanics of Consciousness, it should be considered.

For some this will be an experience providing you more than years of spiritual work could ever provide. The Ayahuasca Ceremony is offered several nights while we are at the lodge. It is your decision to attend. If you decide to join this experience a release form is required ahead of time. Please ask and one will be provided.

Days
During the day you have two options. One is to rest . If you joined the ceremony, you might want to rest. The other option is to join any offered activity. While at the lodge you (as a group) are assigned a jungle guide who speaks good English. It is his responsibility to make sure you are happy, and are offered walks in the jungle, river excursions, trips to neighboring jungle tribes, and day trips into Iquitos. The days options are always discussed during breakfast. It is your decision to attend. Kathy and Chief Liborio

During the afternoons, and some evenings, I will offer healing sessions, advanced information about energy / psychic work, and join in on discussions. Kathy, another good resource, is also available to answer your questions. Having lived in the jungle twice for a year each time, and stayed at the lodge frequently the last 14 years, Kathy knows quite a lot about the area. Between the two of us, and our Shaman, we hope to help you toward a greater understanding and experience.

Depending on local weather conditions, there is a chance of a live broadcast from the lodge on our dedicated internet TV station. If possible, we would inform you ahead of time to let your families know. I'm sure they will be fascinated to see the world you have entered!

Last Day March 9th
The last day at the lodge is usually filled with mixed feelings. It's exciting to think of the next journey, but sad to leave this paradise. Leaving is difficult for Kathy & I knowing the world we are about to re-enter is so vastly different. We usually leave the lodge after breakfast. On the way back we'll probably stop at a primitive zoo built by local tribes. It's a fun and interesting place where you see jungle animals that have all but been pushed away from the advancing civilization. I also plan to take you by boat to the mighty Amazon river to look for pink dolphins. Of course just motoring out into the Amazon river is quite a thrill in itself! Like most, you'll be amazed at how huge it is at the head waters. Believe me, it gets far more amazing as you head further down stream.

The afternoon is spent wandering local markets around the main plaza of Iquitos, and maybe another stop at Ari Burger. When it's time we board our trusty bus and return to the airport. Upon arriving to Lima you will stay at the airport awaiting our flights home a few hours later

I hope this helps answer your questions about the trip. Of course if you need greater detail please ask : )

I M P O R T A N T    I N F O R M A T I O N
You must make sure your flight leaves Lima after midnight. The flight from Iquitos arrives around 9pm. By the time you get your luggage, and check in for your next flight, about 2 hours will have elapsed. Your flight cannot be scheduled for anytime before midnight.
We must know well in advance if this is not going to work for you!!!

Here's something that really screws everyone up really bad... Your actual departure time:
The trip ends March 9th. You arrive to Lima the evening of March 9th... Your return flight home ticket - which should be for after midnight - should read that your return flight is scheduled to leave March 10th. Many have made this mistake in the past, thinking their departure should be the 9th.

It should NOT be the 9th

It must be the 10th

Please ask ahead of booking your flights if you don't understand
