I was the Bass player for a cosmic rock band called UFAUX. We played for about 10 years, rehearsing almost every few days during that time. It was an amazing thing for me. One I will always treasure. When the band broke up I quit playing. No music came close to ours... I was heartbroken and sad it was over.

I still miss my friends, Jim and Susan, who have moved on to others experiences in their lives. I wish them a safe journey, and all the happiness available in life.

This page is dedicated to that great memory of what we were together, and the incredible music we created together. Just below is what remains of the UFAUX.com website. I hope you enjoy the fun it suggests we experienced as a musical family. The story below, Paper Saucers, was written by Susan Gordon.

LED BY INNERVISION AND FUNKY OLD MEN, WE LEFT OUR HOMES TO BEGIN OUR JOURNEY.
TRAVELLING, SEARCHING FOR THE MISSING
PART OF OUR BRAINS, WE TIRELESSLY DANCED
A TECHNO-BOP FOR YEARS.

DURING OUR FIRST YEARS WE WOULD ASK HIPPIES WE MET ON THE ROAD,
" WHAT ABOUT  THEWRECK?"

EVERYONE WONDERED WHAT THIS MEANT!

WHAT WAS THE MESSAGE WE
HAD BEEN GIVEN AND WHY IT WAS SO IMPORTANT!?!

ONLY LOUD MUSIC COULD DESCRIBE THE FORCE THAT PROPELLED US
UPON OUR PATH.

WE JOINED WITH THE MIDNIGHT DANCER AND
OUR FEET WERE TOUCHED BY THE WINGS OF DESIRE.

THE MOONCHILD BEAMED LIKE A CHESHIRE CAT
AS WE WITNESSED THE FUTURE PAST OF EL CID.

WE LISTENED WITH A REALLY GOOD SET OF HEADPHONES
AS THE STARS BEGAN THEIR MARCH TO THE SEA.

WE LIVED THE LEGEND...

IT SPOKE OF A TIME WHEN THE WORLD WOULD ROCK! A TIME WHEN THE ANCIENT ONES WOULD RETURN WITH A BANG AND A KILLER P.A., AND THE HEARTS OF EVERYONE THAT WITNESSED THE LIGHT AND HEARD THE MUSIC, WOULD FINALLY BEAT ALOT FASTER.

THAT TIME IS NOW AND THIS IS THE MESSAGE
WE WERE ASKED TO DELIVER TO YOU...

WE PLAY THE FIREDANCE FOR THOSE ANCIENT ONES
WHO UNDERSTOOD WHAT D-909 WAS REALLY ABOUT.
WE LISTENED FOR THE KALL FROM THE ZIPSTERS OF D-WON.
THEY ARE THE SHINY MASTERS OF A.S.M(Alien Sex Magic).

IT WAS INDIAN SUMMER AND WE EACH EXPERIENCED A TRIPPY FLASHBACK TO THE DAYS THAT BLENDED INTO A MULTICOLOR EXPLOSION LATER CALLED PIXELS AT AN EXHIBITION.

THE ANCIENT ONES POINTED OUT SATURN RISING THROUGH LOVES DOOR. THEY HAD ONCE SEEN EXCALIBER RISING ON TV AND ATTEMPTED
TO UNRAVEL OUR MINDS DURING A CHALLENGING GAME OF TWISTER.

THE CHILDREN OF THE STARS HAD HEARD OF OUR VOYAGE. WITH THEIR WAVEY MINDS PIND TO THE WIND, THEY VENTURED TOWARD US AS WE MADE A RETURN TO GATEWAY, PAST THE HIGHLANDER WHERE KALINDA STARSHIP WAS WAITING.

 

 

WE WATCHED A DESERT MIRAGE WITH REALLY BLURRY EYES
AS WE WAITED WITH THE OTHERS WHO JOINED US.
EVERYONE HAD BROUGHT THEIR TWISTED JEANS ALONG, HOPING FOR SOME HELP...

And Couldn't Wait To Get Into Something More Comfortable...

 

A VERY SPACEY, TRUE, UFAUX STORY by Susan Gordon (Tank Girl: UFAUX's Drummer) This band is way cool. People really like them & usually start jumping up & down and hooting a lot. Even kids...who must think the musicians are ancient compared to them, but like them anyway because they "get it". It was a strange fate that brought them together, coming from such different backgrounds. It was September of 1990 when all three met in the lobby of a hotel in Phoenix, Arizona. The event was a UFO conference. There were people wearing silver shirts, gold headbands, and metal pyramids on their heads, talking like aliens were inhabiting their minds. In the midst of it all, the girl wearing turquoise cowboy boots, the tall guy in the pith helmet, and thewild-haired science guy all met for the first time. The girl went off to New Mexico, but soon returned to co-habitate with the scientist. The very tall man was not seen for almost two years... but when they met once again,a band was born. Playing drums in a rock band had been on the girl's mind for over twenty years, but she'd been busy doing other things like working for a "living". She hated rush hours, office hours, and other such gooky things. She'd fulfilled her one childhood dream of becoming a horse-trainer, however, and was looking towards the other...DRUMMING! Mr. Science has been a very, very busy man all his life. He ran clubs, played keyboards in popular bands, organized shows, built computers and did math stuff. He also owned almost all of the equipment the band needed. He grimaced for a long time while the other band members polished their chops. (Sometimes we caught him smiling though!) The tall man wears a pith helmet into the jungle, and a bass guitar on stage. He's been on an adventure for most of his years (and still is). He's been seen on many an out-of-body experience as life on this plane remains a relative mystery to him. One of his favorite foods is chicken fingers, which he eats with red and white sauces. That's bar-be-que and ranch to most humans.   Jim Dilettoso Mr. Science Susan Gordon Tank Girl Jerry Wills Amazon So now they have a bunch of shows under their belts. The drummer has gotten kind of wild and acquired nick-names such as "Taboo Electrique" and "Tank Girl". Their keyboard player frequently appears to have three hands and can even use his nose when necessary to punch a button. You can't help but notice the size of the bass player's feet (15) because he likes to bop around a lot, inciting the audience to near-riot. There's a lot of very advanced material in these people's heads. They can all talk 'til the cows come home on topics that'll make you loopy. So it all actually comes out in the music and video, which keeps people's eyes from glazing over. They do it to your mind-body-mind-body-mind-body-etc. until your freakin' chakras are spinning like dervishes in the outer dimensions. By then, no words are necessary, because you too, will have "gotten it".

So, why haven't you heard about us after 8 years of developing this special music? Well, we don't play out often... It's usually because Jim is busy developing his MEGA company, Susan is attending a world class equestrian event or I'm off on another expedition into Central or South America discovering the mysteries of "The Celestine Prophecy" or chatting with Pleaidiens.
