Far from civilization, on the southernmost shores of Lake Titicaca, an ancient temple was built onto the side of a mountainous block of up-thrust sandstone. Though we might never know the extent of its secrets, when it was made, who created it, and why... we can still explore those lofty places where sacred ceremonies were conducted. In central Peru there exist many ancient places that are strange and unexplainable. One of these is nestled midway between Cusco and Machu Picchu near the village of Ollanta. It was built with the hands of many cultures who lived in this, the Sacred Valley. The most recent were the Inca. But this site is far older than that. Evidence here suggests a connection to the Teohuanacan's, whoever they really were. Gigantic 200 ton stone blocks of pink granite were hewn from a quarry at the top of a mountain several miles away. Carefully cut and polished, they were somehow moved across a roaring river and precisely aligned atop a rocky outcropping on a mountainside. No one knows who these people were, why they did this, or what became of them. |

High on a remote hilltop sits an enigma. Scientists would have you believe massive structures of stone (locally called Chulpa's) were made by the Inca. They were not. The stones are like many found throughout south America, made of volcanic stone or granite, and cut to within incredible tolerances. They fit together perfectly with only a barely visible seam. However, we have seen such stone work belonging to cultures much older - tens of thousands of years older. |

There is, on a far and remote high altitude plain called the Alti Plano, a remarkable city lay in ruins. Actually, it is an entire civilization whose numerous pyramids and ceremonial structures were built for miles in every direction. It's rumored the God's lived here long ago. An ancient tunnel, extending from an old church courtyard, was entered and partially explored by our son Bryce during late 2006. Deep within the Andes of northern Peru there exists an ancient aqueduct system thousands of years old. Though a language is written upon stone, no one knows who placed it there or what the inscriptions tell us. Additionally, a vast tunnel system connects the aqueduct system. It runs through stone ridges and through mountains. Those who created this network knew something lost to time. In places, you can see their hand prints playfully placed.
